The Sunday morning vets race was at Urriarra Homestead with a two lap up towards Condor Creek and down to Urriarra and back.
We had team members in A (Craig, Bleeksie), B (Alain) and C grade (James, Cath, Malcolm) with mixed results.

Craig finished 3rd in A-grade, where I was spat out the back at the first pass of the hill near Blue Range Road. Damn, time trial rest of the race, I probably still finishing 8th or so (seeing there were only about 11 riders 🙂 )

Alain just lost the B bunch on the last quarter lap and still came in about a minute behind the leading B-grade bunch.

The Coach, who was initially told he should be in B, was in the end allowed to ride C as long as he didn’t contest the finish.. well, there was no issue with that… spat out the back first lap like me. It was left to James and Cath to bring it home in C-grade and both managed to stay with the lead group. James even trying his luck in leading out Cath on the run into the finish, but it was all a little early for Cath and she got swamped at the line to end in a respectable 6th(?).

Let it be known that one of the Friday Quon boys had managed to weasel his way into C-grade, and took the sprint without much of a fight.
