There were six 3fidi riders represented at the Corc race at Stromlo.
James, Dayn, Alwyn, Bleeksie, Matt Blunn, Doggi

James chose his starting position well and managed to stay in front of 1st lap traffic and already had a couple of minutes on the rest of us after the first lap. Then it settle for a while, with me (Bleeksie) and Dayn riding in sight of each other for the first few laps after which I started feeling my lower back and letting Dayn past to chase james. Matt was only half a minute behind, so soon after I dropped off the power a little Matt picked me up and the two of us settled into a comfy pace, passing same riders a few times, depending if we were join up or down hill. Down hill being our faster discipline.

Alwyn was riding a few more minutes back and Geoff had two flats dropping him way off the pace.
Matt & I had had enough by the 2hr mark and were just riding around to complete the 3 hours, especially slowing it a little more on the last lap to finish at 3 hours exactly… ok, we got to the finish 3 minutes early, but we definitely didn’t want to head out for another lap….Bugger it!

James was 10 minutes ahead and Dayn about 3 minutes, so they both went around again… Hard men of 3fidi.
On the last lap, James was convinced that one of the other 3fidi riders was on his tail and he pushed that extra hard, only to find out we were all way off the back 🙂
