3FIDI tap it out in the 12hour

Ash and I went and competed in the JetBlack Rocky Trail 12 hour event near Windsor.
A fairly flat loop with two steep pinched with rocks that became slippy as the day went on. A beautiful dry day but still some slidy mud in sections of the track that don’t see the sun much.

Both Ash and I tapped out consistent lap times until we decided that, with a lap ahead of the next team, we could slow it down and still end up in front by nearly a lap.

Most of the day we were neck in neck with the 2nd place getters of the Elite teams of two, lots of fun and banter even though we all knew they were in a separate category. Even the announcer gave them hell for not going out for the last extra lap (seeing they were 3 laps ahead of ht next elite team) as that meant we (the old farts) would actually do more laps than them (the elite) 🙂

Result:
1st in masters teams of two
2nd in all teams of two
ca. 9th overall (including solos, teams of 3 and 6)

  1. Awesome work. Incredibly good result. Splitting the Elites is fantastic. The Quantum guys are TWE endorsees. Champion!
