Matt and Bleeksie worked over the “Huge” field in B-grade on Sunday (well, there were 6 in total).
The course is a fairly short one and has sharp corners, first half of the race not much happened except a couple of short lived break attempts. Team 3Fidi noticed one other guys in the bunch that could be a threat, so they marked him and when he went for a break attempt Matt stuck on his wheel and Bleeksie rolled to the back of the bunch not doing any work.
Matt actually didn’t even realise that he was in a break until about a lap later. The chasing bunch was not able to make any inroads so after a few more laps Bleeksie (being nicely rested at the back) jumped out and went across to the leaders.
Now it was two against one for 3Fidi to take the final sprint. 3Fidi made the competitor work in chasing them down in turn, and Bleeksie lead out on the last lap, sacrificing himself for Matt to take the glory!
