While some of 3fidi were doing battle with a ‘light breeze’ and a cranky member of our rural community, a couple of us were able to enjoy the some fun in the sun at La Vosgienne – a cyclo in southern Alsace. Cath entered the 100km (1500m ride) and managed to win her classement (40+ women) by some considerable margin (in a field of 25 or so). She was also only a minute or so down on second and third women in the overall.  She wasn’t quite so quick getting to the podium, hence her lone appearance in the photo. Yours truly did the 160km (3300m) ride over the Ballon d’Alsace, the Markstein and a couple of other cols besides in 5hrs 50 – luckily, not quick enough to need to climb the steps of the podium!
Bravo Cath
